The story behind PrepVault
Why we started PrepVault
People shouldn’t have to face a crisis alone — or spend their lives preparing for one.
We’re building a practical preparedness network for the moments when the systems families rely on are disrupted.
Our story
From empty shelves
to managed reserves
During COVID, founder and CEO Tim Veile saw empty shelves and began stockpiling supplies for his family. When much of that food expired and had to be thrown away, he started looking for a better approach.
That experience sparked SupplyReady: professionally managed supplies, with inventory stored and rotated before a qualifying shortage.
Another question followed: what happens when supplies at home aren’t enough? Studying disasters such as Hurricane Katrina and the gaps in response and communication helped shape DisasterDeploy — a planned network of local member support hubs.

Our commitment to community
Our work in the community
PrepVault supports charitable organizations through financial contributions and employee volunteer time on the company’s dime.
The ambition is national: build local relationships, resources, and capabilities city by city, with a goal of reaching major U.S. metros over the next three years. That is our expansion vision; current service availability is checked by ZIP.
