Hub services & household needs

6 questions

What is a DisasterDeploy hub?

A staffed local resource hub for members after a qualifying declared disaster. It provides a place to get practical support, local updates, resource guidance, and help finding your next step while the community recovers.

What services can I use at the hub?

Available services may include hot meals, drinking water, hygiene products, first-aid supplies, phone and device charging, Wi-Fi, pet food, rest areas, community resources, and on-site guidance. Contact PrepVault about baby supplies; Baby Essentials is not available through online enrollment yet. The services and items available during a particular activation depend on local conditions and resources.

Does the hub provide sleeping accommodations?

No. DisasterDeploy provides temporary daytime support, not overnight shelter or long-term housing. Maintain your own evacuation and shelter plans and follow local officials for shelter information.

Can the hub operate during a power outage?

Hubs are designed to use backup power for charging, lighting, communications, and other on-site services when equipment and conditions allow. Wi-Fi, charging capacity, and other services can still be limited by the disaster; continuous power or connectivity is not guaranteed.

Does first-aid support include medical treatment?

First-aid supplies may be available at an operating hub. DisasterDeploy does not provide emergency medical care, medical treatment, ambulance services, rescue, or evacuation. Call 911 for a medical emergency.

How are babies, pets, and additional household members covered?

Hub resources can include dog and cat food and family hygiene items, subject to availability. Baby Essentials and additional household places are not available through online enrollment yet; contact PrepVault to discuss your household needs. Keep household and pet details current. A newly added membership has its own 30-day waiting period.

Activation, hours & getting there

8 questions

How quickly does a hub open?

DisasterDeploy targets a local hub within 48 hours of a qualifying declared emergency in a serviceable area. Setup and access depend on the severity of the event, safe roads, site availability, staffing, equipment, and official restrictions. This target does not guarantee access at a precise time.

What counts as a qualifying emergency?

An official disaster declaration must cover the member’s serviceable region at the city, county, or state level and meet the membership terms. Events can include hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, wildfires, and other qualifying disasters determined by PrepVault. Personal emergencies, isolated power outages, weather concerns without a declaration, and routine inconvenience do not automatically activate a hub.

How do I find the hub and know when to arrive?

Activation notifications use the membership’s email, SMS, and app channels. Follow the issued hub location, operating hours, arrival instructions, and list of available services. Keep contact details and notification preferences current and check for updates before traveling, as locations and hours can change.

Who can enter a DisasterDeploy hub?

Services are intended for active, paid members who have completed the 30-day waiting period. Bring your membership credentials for check-in. Canceled, paused, unpaid, or not-yet-eligible memberships do not provide access.

What if roads are closed or I cannot reach the hub?

Follow evacuation orders, road closures, and official emergency instructions first. Members arrange their own travel. DisasterDeploy does not provide transportation, rescue, evacuation, or ambulance services, and unsafe access may delay or suspend hub operations.

How long do hubs stay open?

Hubs remain open while support is operationally necessary and feasible. Operating hours, services, and locations can change with safety conditions, available staff, supplies, and local recovery needs. They do not provide an indefinite food supply or extended shelter.

What happens if several disasters occur at once?

Each event is evaluated and managed separately. Hub deployment and available services depend on the conditions, staffing, supplies, and safe access for the affected region.

Is immediate access guaranteed?

No. Services are provided on a best-effort basis. High demand can mean queues, staggered entry, traffic controls, or limited capacity. Weather, road closures, evacuation orders, government restrictions, and other unsafe conditions may delay, relocate, limit, or suspend a hub.

Membership, pricing & availability

5 questions

Can I review plans if enrollment is not open in my ZIP?

Yes. You can review the displayed plans before checking your ZIP. Online enrollment and local pricing depend on service-area availability. If your area is not open, contact PrepVault for coverage and future-enrollment information. Checking a ZIP does not create a paid membership. Enroll before a disaster so the 30-day waiting period is complete before you need benefits.

Can I choose just one membership?

Yes. SupplyReady and DisasterDeploy are separate memberships. Choose the one that fits your household, or choose both for 50% off the lower-priced membership’s base price.

When do membership benefits begin?

Benefits begin 30 days after enrollment. Join before a shortage or qualifying disaster happens. Your first month is billed at checkout; the waiting period applies to benefit access.

Is service available where I live?

Availability depends on your ZIP and the membership you choose. Check your ZIP before enrollment.

Can I cancel my membership?

Yes. Request cancellation in My Account to stop renewal at the end of your current billing period. You keep access for the rest of that paid period, subject to eligibility and service conditions. There is no refund for the current period.

Service limits & policies

2 questions

Is PrepVault insurance or a replacement for 911?

No. PrepVault is a household preparedness membership. Always call 911 for an emergency and follow official evacuation orders and emergency guidance.

DisasterDeploy operating rules and service limitations

DisasterDeploy is a private commercial preparedness membership, not insurance or a government relief program. NBEOC and Ready Rating membership does not make PrepVault a FEMA, American Red Cross, or government emergency-response agency. Membership does not guarantee a particular item, service, food supply, shelter, or medical benefit.

Activation and eligibility: an official disaster declaration for the member’s region and the membership’s service-area rules must be met. Access is for active, paid members after the initial 30-day waiting period. Personal emergencies, isolated power outages, or weather concerns without a qualifying declaration do not activate service.

Available services: operating hubs may offer meals, water, supplies, rest areas, charging, Wi-Fi, and community-resource support. Actual services depend on inventory, staff, vendors, road access, conditions, and operational safety. No specific service or item is guaranteed.

Hub access: members use operating hubs in their activated region. Locations, hours, capacity, service levels, supply categories, and traffic procedures may change, relocate, or be suspended for safety and stability, sometimes without notice. Queues and staggered entry may be necessary; immediate access is not guaranteed.

Travel and emergency care: members arrange their own travel and follow official evacuation and safety instructions. DisasterDeploy does not provide transportation, rescue, evacuation, ambulance services, emergency medical care, or medical treatment. Hubs provide temporary daytime support, not overnight shelter or long-term housing.

Member responsibilities: keep your address, contact information, and notification settings current; check hub instructions before traveling; bring membership credentials; and follow staff directions, safety rules, and traffic protocols. Failure to comply may result in removal or denied service.

Conditions outside the service’s control: extreme weather, closures, government restrictions, shortages, or unsafe access may delay setup, food, charging, Wi-Fi, or distribution. Membership does not remove the risks of traveling during a disaster; members remain responsible for their travel decisions and safety.

Privacy: contact details, membership status, and service-usage information may be used to operate the program and support member safety and service delivery under the PrepVault Privacy Policy. Review the current membership terms and disclosures before enrollment.
